Can I just say that I’m not really a fan of e-books? And while I appreciate the invention of e-journals and PDFs for making my professional and academic life a lot easier, staring at a computer screen seems to be taking up way too much of my life. EVIL COMPUTER!!

Of late I’ve been trying to spend less time wasting my life away in front of the computer screen and complete all the half-read books sitting on my shelf.
So today, I decided to treat myself to a nice leather book jacket.

Ok so yeah, I could have simply wrapped it in a nice sheet of used wrapping paper or magazine page like how I did back in the day. But everyone needs to indulge sometimes, right?

Getting off the comp now. See ya!

So after a sumptuous meal at Veganburg, a pal and I decided to head somewhere for coffee. eL pal decides to bring me to check out Loysel’s Toy Cafe. Situated along a quiet lane off Kallang Road, the serene surroundings of this place was just lovely 🙂

Ture also houses several other offices… such as the Ukele Movement. Indeed, some patrons to Loysel’s Toy Cafe were members of the Ukele Movement, strumming away in the al fresco area at the side of the building.  Ture also has some recreational activity with Loysel’s Toy Cafe’s bike rental (though a little pricey) and indoor rockclimbing. But if that ain’t your scene, what better way to spend a saturday afternoon with lovely cuppa and a good book. (Their lemon tart is pretty rockin’ too!)

Don’t forget to ask for their Be Disloyal Card, where you get your next coffee free AFTER visiting seven other coffee joints that Loysel has teamed up with. Its a Loyalty card with a twist!

What a lovely day 🙂
